Brighter than white
soverybright.com makes a logo shine up to 7.5 times brighter than white, and the internet mostly responded by shielding its eyes. I think it is the quietest way there is to make something stand out on a page.

The week before release, QA opens Safari
Three bugs that only existed in one browser: a caret that sat four characters from where it was drawn, an image that vanished when two scales compounded, and a canvas cache that crashed the app on iOS. Interop 2027 is taking proposals until 23 September.

The IntersectionObserver I deleted
Mat Marquis says responsive images are over. He is nearly right: one attribute retired the observer I used to hand-write, and it does the job better than mine ever did. The one that would finish the argument still is not in Safari.

Borrowing the browser’s layout engine for a canvas
Fabric.js has no idea how big a textbox is allowed to grow. So I laid the design out in a hidden flexbox, let the browser do the work, and copied the answer onto the canvas.
